The synergy of sight & sound, that our visual auscultation technology brings, we believe is better than what has come in the past. However it is a new paradigm for today’s doctors, hence the need to augment education. Auscultation as a skill has already been in decline as validated by many studies. Most students start to become rusty within a year of learning about it. Part of the solution we offer within the device portfolio itself is the HD fono Tutorial software. In addition to augment teaching we have developed HD GuruDoc which also enables the teacher to share simultaneously the sound he hears from his device, with the classroom. Aside from live playback, it also consists of a wider database of body sounds. This tool further enables the Guru to selective listen to components of the auscultated or stored sounds from the database to better highlight what needs to be understood. It takes the guru’s experience and facilitates is amplification to the students.
